adventures in blogging

Just a short trip through my strange computer based quests.

A bit of a departure.

As time passes in this test, I've come to learn that what I enjoy more than games, is tinkering with things. Like. I really like tinkering. I've spent so many hours poking config files, learning git, learning various languages well enough that I could easily change the configs of various window managers and other things.

I switched to Nord as a color scheme today. I was using solarized. I think Nord is better. It took forever to set up well. I spent so much time adjusting, reconfiguring. I loved it. I love doing that. I love all this crazy pokage. I'm a hacker at heart I guess. Not particularly good at anything, but fascinated by the IDEA of changing things.

The problem with that is, I want to play games! I don't get much time these days in general, but for a good chunk of my youth gaming was a massive part of who I was. I played Daggerfall, Master of orion, Command and Conquer. I spent months and months solving the various issues and puzzles and problems. I want to do that some more!

So. Today I played Wandersong. All day. I played on the switch. It was beautiful. I can't recommend it enough. I sang songs, I danced. I learned the beautiful stories of the various people in the game. I've not finished it yet, but I am close, and I can't wait to finally get it done. Then I think I'll play Mario.

I'm not stopping the quest, fuck. Far from it. I'm debating switching to crux linux, just for the heck of it... But just warning you... There might be gaming content involved here...
